Julie-Anne Liechty has done Shakespeare with Al Pacino, been directed by Danny Glover, co-starred with Mark Pellegrino, and worked with many others including: the legendary American Playwrights Landford Wilson (Talley’s Folly) and Paul Zindel (The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds), actor Jeff Goldblum, director Rob Reiner, Amy Madigan (Field of Dreams), Jeremy Sumpter (Peter Pan), Robby Benson (Ice Castles), Carl Lumbly (Alias), Ben Barns (Prince Caspian), Joe Pantoliano (The Matrix), Jason Behr (Roswell), Candace Cameron Bure (Full House), and Nick Robinson (Jurassic World).
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Utah, she briefly attended Brigham Young University as a Vocal Performance Major before transferring to DePaul University’s Theatre School in Chicago where she received a BFA in Acting. Next it was on to New York City where she worked professionally as an actress in theatre and film, as well as continued studying at various schools such as Circle in the Square and the Juilliard School (for Alexander Technique).
After a brief stint back in Salt Lake she made the move to Los Angeles where she worked mainly in film and television. She also started writing both screen plays and novels, studying for six years at UCLA’s Writers Program. While in LA, she also studied acting at Playhouse West with Jeff Goldblum and Mark Pellegrino.
In 2012 life circumstances brought her back to Salt Lake where she has been working as an actress, writer and producer. In 2015 she started an acting school – ACTORS IN ACTION: Professional training for the Actor – and has since coached over a hundred people to dozens and dozens of bookings. She is currently producing an episodic series with her film company ILLYRIUM PRODUCTIONS called AESOP. Her hopes are that AESOP will take off as a series here in Utah, supplying work for local actors and crew.

Julie-Anne Liechty’s acting school ACTORS IN ACTION: Professional Training for the Actor was started in October of 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The first class had six students attending. The school now boast over 30 students a 6-Week Session with four classes a week plus individual and audition coaching. It is quickly earning the reputation as one of the best acting schools around.
